We tend to go away for a long weekend and stay together as a
group at a reasonable hotel. A dinner is held on the first evening, a chance for new members to be introduced and old friends to catch up on news. Dinner is followed by
a talk over coffee to introduce the city and its history as well as to explain the programme.
We use whatever public transport is available, assuming that by walking and travelling as the locals do, we will have a better understanding of how the city works. We always include a stop for coffee as well as a
longish lunch break. Some use the time to do their own thing, some shop or
while others explore the transport system further or other aspects of
the city. Our regulars say that our Safaris open up
unexpected opportunities for exploration.
